Für welche Suchmaschinen soll ich meine Website optimieren? Wer sind die Big-Player in Deutschland?
Bevor Sie mit der Optimierung Ihrer Website anfangen, sollten Sie erstmal wissen mit wem Sie es zu tun haben. Momentan gibt es nur drei große Suchmaschinen-Betreiber auf dem deutschen Markt. (Quelle: webhits.de, Stand Juli 2009)
Unangefochten an der Spitze befindet sich Google mit über 85 Prozent Marktanteil. Auf den Plätzen folgen Microsoft mit der Live Search bzw. Bing und dann Yahoo Search. Beide haben ungefähr einen Marktanteil von 5 Prozent.
Der Rest des Marktes wird von großen Portalen wie web.de, T-Online u.a. bestimmt. Diesen setzen jedoch allesamt auf die Technologie der großen Betreiber. T-Online, web.de und gmx.de setzen z.B. auf die Such-Technologie von Google.
Wenn Sie also etwas erreichen möchten, sollten Sie in jedem Fall gute Ergebnisse bei Google erzielen. Um auf eventuelle Marktveränderungen gefasst zu sein, sollten Sie natürlich Microsoft und Yahoo nicht aus den Augen verlieren.
